Amiri King Biography and Career

Tony Donavan Schork, popularly known as Amiri King, was born on July 10, 1979, in Louisville, Kentucky. He is an American by Nationality. He was raised by his single mom, Sharon Brown Colvin. Amiri had a hard time growing up. He was violently assaulted by his dad at age 11 which eventually made him run away from his house.

To Survive, he swept lots of gas stations and moved from one shelter to another, including Liberty Shelter House, Boys Haven, and Phoenix House.

When King was 16, he was accused of armed robbery, which forever changed his life. He was tried as an adult and found guilty, spending three years in prison before being released on good behaviour. King then changed his life and became an inspirational speaker in his hometown, sharing his experience with various youth organizations and high schools.

Career

Amiri is an all-time Multitasker. He started his career on YouTube 2007 by publishing comedic videos including parodies on his channel.

He has also appeared in several movies, including Rick and Ed’s Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse. King has also appeared three times on the front cover of Readers Digest magazine, and his YouTube channel has over 250 million views.

Currently, he’s a Motivational speaker for this youth and a content writer for local comedians.
